Discover 5 quick steps to get started with the OpenSwim swimming app

1 – Create an account

To access the OpenSwim, creating an account won’t take you more than 3 minutes. Define your swimmer’s profile, including your level and favorite stroke.

2 – Discover the swimming workouts

More than 500 workouts are available in the application: whatever your level and your desires, we will always have workouts to support you.

Not much time today? Search for a short workout using our duration filter. Want to focus on a particular stroke? Refine your search with our stroke filter. See also our other filters to make your search easier.

To give you some ideas, every day we offer you a ‘workout of the day’ adapted to your level, and displayed directly on the homepage. Give it a try!

3 – Connect your watch

The OpenSwim app is compatible with Garmin and Apple smartwatches, as well as Strava app. Therefore, you can connect with your account to synchronize your watch or application with the OpenSwim app. Once the connection has been established, data exchange takes place automatically. You will find all your swimming data on a single app, so you can track your activities and progress precisely.

4 – Pick a program

Tired of going to the pool without knowing what to do? We have got you covered: our swimming training programs. Each of these programs target a precise goal: improving endurance, preparing for a 1 km or 2.5 km open water event, maintain your fitness, getting back in shape after a break… Discover our list of programs and choose the one (or ones!) that suits you and motivates you. We’ll then support you week by week with the workouts for each session.

5 – Track your activities

On the app, find a specific section for your activity history since your registration. By accessing it, you will find details of each of your sessions. All you have to do is validate a workout on the OpenSwim application, and the series and time data will be available. If you have imported an activity thanks to your watch or Strava, you will have access to more information, including your speed and heart rate.

This section also lets you track your weekly activity summary, get data depending on your stroke, and access your personal bests.
