How to use a kickboard

How to use it?

Hold the board in front of you with both hands, arms extended in front, head in the water in a horizontal position. Do kick or undulation keeping your body straight. To breathe, you have 2 options. Lift your head in front or breathe to the side to improve your breathing technique.

Drills with a kickboard

Here are 2 exercises to improve your stroke and technique, using a board.

Pull stroke

Exercice : Hold the board with one hand and use the other hand to perform arm movements (front crawl or back crawl). Alternate arm, focusing on one arm at a time.

Goal : This drill strengthens the arm and works on arm-leg coordination.

Work on positioning

Exercice : Place the board under your chest and let it float under your body while you do kicks.

Goal : This exercise helps you maintain an upright body position and work on your buoyancy and balance in the water, as well as your sheathing.

Variation: still with the board under your chest, swim freestyle , breathing with a snorkel.The aim is not to drop the board.
