The OpenSwim app is compatible with Garmin smartwatches . After synchronizing your watch with the app, you can send a workout to your Garmin watch. You can choose any workout from the app: an OpenSwim workout, one you’ve created or one a friend has shared with you.
How to do it? Here are a few tips.
Send a workout to your watch

Sync the app with your Garmin Connect account (my account > connected objects > Garmin)

Among more than 600 OpenSwim workouts, pick the one to send to your watch

Open the workout, then click on the icon ⌚️ in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen to transfer the workout.

Go to your Garmin Connect app. Then click on More > Training and planning > Training

Click on the workout of your choice. On the Preview page, click on the 📲 icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Select your watch. It must be close to the phone for synchronization to be successful.

Go swimming! On your watch, choose the sport Swimming and find your workout in the settings.

Start the workout. For each set, get the distance, stroke, accessory and description.
This feature is not available for all Garmin smartwatches.
Most of Garmin multisport and high-end watches offer it, namely: Fenix 7S, Epix Pro, Instinct 2, Descent G1, Tactix 7, Quatix 7, Enduro 2 Forerunner 245, Forerunner 265, Forerunner 745, Forerunner 965.
The models listed as compatible for swimming workouts are different from those for running and cycling training. Unfortunately, for swimming, the list of Garmin smartwatches is less important.
